Stefano joined The Health Policy Partnership in June 2023 as a Senior Researcher. He works across a variety of project areas including health equity and digitalisation of healthcare.

Prior to joining HPP, Stefano was a contributor at The Economist Group, working with the health team as well as the Policy & Insights team. He has a clinical background and worked in the National Health Service as a Senior Physiotherapist for several years, working primarily with chronic pain patients. Stefano is passionate about reducing health inequalities; social, political and commercial determinants of health; and improving health literacy.

Stefano holds a Master’s in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, a BSc in Physiotherapy from Brighton University and a BA in Psychology from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Having lived in Italy, Colombia, Canada and the UK, Stefano is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian, with conversational skills in French.
